Broadway's New Simba
The Broadway production of The Lion King welcomes Adam Jacobs to its cast the week of August 29 in the role of Simba. Clifton Oliver played his final performance as Simba on August 26. Adam Jacobs played the role of Simba in the national tour of The Lion King from 2010 to 2011. The Lion King plays at the Minskoff Theatre.

Lauren Keyana "Keke" Palmer auditioned for The Lion King at the age of nine in 2003. Her mother, Sharon saw an ad in a newspaper for a casting call for auditions of Young Simba and Young Nala in Chicago. She was called back for a second callback. Lauren was offered to play Young Nala in the Second National Tour, The Cheetah Tour. It was originally going to open in San Francisco, not Chicago. Keyana did not take the offer because she was not ready to travel yet. Lauren Palmer is a star in film, television, and music. She made her debut in Barbershop 2: Back in Business (2004) as Queen Latifah's niece.
